Preparing to Serve:

A mental wellness approach for pre-missionaries

Pre-Missionaries will learn mental health skills in harmony with foundational and accurate Latter-Day Saint doctrine and teachings. Learn principles that will help with areas such as basic neuroscience, how to manage anxiety and depression, forgiveness, assertiveness, managing feelings of overwhelm and guilt, managing expectations, communication, etc. Could aid in helping qualify certain individuals for proselytizing missions. Case scenarios that missionaries typically encounter in reference to mental health will be illustrated during the teaching process.Instruction provided by a professional religious educator and a licensed therapist.

Strengthen testimony and mental wellness while you serve

Providing educational and mental health education to current missionaries, whether they have been assigned to a service or proselytizing mission. Harness coping skills for dealing with various mental health challenges like anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, perfectionism, scrupulosity etc. Develop a greater understanding and testimony of the Atonement of Jesus Christ, conversion, and the beauty and hope found on the covenant path. Instruction provided by a professional religious educator and a licensed therapist.

Returned Missionaries

The transition from serving a mission to “regular life” can be exciting and overwhelming. Learn skills and principles related to perfectionism, depression, anxiety, emotional resilience, and examining your purpose. Develop a greater understanding and testimony of The Atonement of Jesus Christ, conversion, the beauty and hope found on the covenant path. Instruction provided by a professional religious educator and a licensed therapist.

Senior Couple Missionary Wellness:

Fortifying faith and wellness as a missionary couple

Serving our Heavenly Father as a senior missionary couple for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints* is an experience filled with a variety of emotions! We are here to provide mental health education and support while using Christ as our foundation. You will learn how to manage your emotions, how to support your family emotionally from a distance, as well as learning practical, hands on tips and strategies for working with other missionaries (youth missionaries or other senior couples). Instruction provided by a professional religious educator and a licensed therapist.

Parents of Missionaries

Parents of Missionaries:

Strengthen your missionaries testimony and mental wellness while they serve

Providing educational and mental health education to parents of missionaries, whether their child has been assigned to a service or proselytizing mission. Harness skills for dealing with various mental health challenges like anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, perfectionism, scrupulosity etc. As well as concerns such as conflict, rejection, and homesickness. Develop a greater understanding and testimony of the Atonement of Jesus Christ, conversion, and the beauty and hope found on the covenant path. Instruction provided by a professional religious educator and a licensed therapist.

A faith and wellness course for those whose mission experiences have been unique or non-traditional

Offering specialized care and instruction for the mental, emotional, and spiritual needs of individuals who undergo less-common, yet complex scenarios related to the mission/missionary culture (e.g., those who don’t serve missions, those who return early from their missions, those who have traumatic experiences in the mission field, etc.). Instruction provided by a professional religious educator and a licensed therapist.
