“I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.”

John 14:18

Pre-Missionaries

Preparing to Serve:

A mental wellness approach for pre-missionaries

Pre-Missionaries will learn mental health skills in harmony with foundational and accurate Latter-Day Saint doctrine and teachings. Learn principles that will help with areas such as basic neuroscience, how to manage anxiety and depression, forgiveness, assertiveness, managing feelings of overwhelm and guilt, managing expectations, communication, etc. Could aid in helping qualify certain individuals for proselytizing missions. Case scenarios that missionaries typically encounter in reference to mental health will be illustrated during the teaching process.Instruction provided by a professional religious educator and a licensed therapist.

Returned Missionaries

Staying on the Covenant Path:

A mental wellness approach for returned missionaries

The transition from serving a mission to “regular life” can be exciting and overwhelming. Learn skills and principles related to perfectionism, depression, anxiety, emotional resilience, and examining your purpose. Develop a greater understanding and testimony of The Atonement of Jesus Christ, conversion, the beauty and hope found on the covenant path. Instruction provided by a professional religious educator and a licensed therapist.

Non-Traditional

My Journey:

A faith and wellness course for those whose mission experiences have been unique or non-traditional

Offering specialized care and instruction for the mental, emotional, and spiritual needs of individuals who undergo less-common, yet complex scenarios related to the mission/missionary culture (e.g., those who don’t serve missions, those who return early from their missions, those who have traumatic experiences in the mission field, etc.). Instruction provided by a professional religious educator and a licensed therapist.

“Remember, our Heavenly Father loves you. Trust in Him and in the power of the Atonement of Jesus Christ to heal and redeem you. God has a perfect plan for His imperfect children;… “Where two or three are gathered together in my name, as touching one thing, behold, there will I be in the midst of them—even so am I in the midst of you. (Doctrine & Covenants 6:32)”
