Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 9, 2026

We at Missionary Wellness Center want the Site to be a safe and private place for users. Many areas of the Site can be viewed without registering or providing personal information. In turn, you can do your part by reading this Privacy Policy (“Policy”) and understanding how we handle information when you choose to interact with us.

1. Introduction and Acceptance

Missionary Wellness Center (“MWC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you visit our website (the “Site”) or interact with our services.

MWC is a tax-exempt charitable organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code (EIN 87-4374738). We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an official resource of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

The Site is operated by Missionary Wellness Center and is powered by Pâz Wellness. MWC and Pâz Wellness are related organizations. Shared contact information, service providers, or operational support do not, by themselves, make Pâz Wellness a party to your use of the Site unless expressly stated.

During your use of the Site, you may be prompted to provide personal information. “Personal information” means information that personally identifies you, including but not limited to your name, email address, mailing address, telephone number, or other information you provide when using the Site.

Any time you provide personal information to us, this Policy governs our use of that information. This Policy does not apply to information collected by third parties on their own websites or offline, except as described below.

By submitting personal information to us, you agree that we may use the information in accordance with this Policy. We will update this Policy as we deem necessary and will post any changes on this page so that you are continually aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it. You should reread this Policy in its entirety from time to time. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted will constitute your acceptance of such changes.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide

There are certain actions and areas of the Site that require you to provide personal information. These include, but are not limited to:

  • Creating an account — name, email address, optional phone number, and password
  • Managing your profile — preferences and settings you choose in your account
  • Subscribing to email updates — email address (with double opt-in confirmation)
  • Contacting us — information you send by email, phone, or forms
  • Making a donation — information you provide to a third-party payment processor (see Section 6)

If you submit information to us, we will use it for the purposes for which it was submitted. We may also use your information to personalize communications, keep you informed about MWC-related activities, or as otherwise disclosed to you at the point of collection.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information unless you choose to provide it and we have a lawful basis to process it.

Information collected automatically

We and our service providers automatically collect and store certain information about your device and your visit, including information such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, pages viewed, timestamps, and error diagnostics stored in log files.

We use this information to operate and secure the Site, troubleshoot problems, and understand aggregate usage patterns. These statistics generally do not reveal identifiable information in reports we review for Site improvement.

3. How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Site and member features
  • Create and manage user accounts and authenticate users
  • Send email updates you have requested (with your consent where required)
  • Send transactional messages related to your account or subscriptions (such as confirmation or password-reset emails)
  • Respond to inquiries and support requests
  • Process and acknowledge donations made through third-party platforms
  • Protect the security and integrity of the Site
  • Comply with legal obligations
  • Understand aggregate usage to improve our content and services

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to or with any other entity for their independent marketing purposes.

4. Email Communications and CAN-SPAM

If you subscribe to our email list:

  • We use a double opt-in process to confirm your subscription before sending marketing messages
  • Each marketing email includes an unsubscribe link and our contact information
  • You may also unsubscribe through our Unsubscribe page

We are committed to complying with the CAN-SPAM Act of 2003 and applicable email laws. Our marketing emails identify Missionary Wellness Center as the sender, include a valid physical postal address, and provide an easy-to-use unsubscribe mechanism. We promptly honor opt-out requests.

Transactional emails related to your account or subscription (such as email confirmation or password reset) may still be sent as necessary to provide the service.

5. Charitable Contributions and Donor Privacy

The Site may link to third-party platforms (such as PayPal or Venmo) to facilitate donations or support. If you choose to make an online donation, you will provide payment and billing information directly to the third-party payment processor. That processor processes your transaction and may send MWC a transaction report containing some personal information (for example, name and contact information) but not your full payment card details.

We do not sell, rent, or trade our donors’ names or personal information to or with any other entity, nor do we send mailings to our donors on behalf of other organizations.

Donations are governed by the third party’s terms of use and privacy policies. MWC is not responsible for third-party payment processing.

6. Service Providers and Information Sharing

We use third-party vendors to provide services on the Site and in our operations. Information you submit on the Site may be provided to those vendors on a confidential basis so they can provide services on our behalf. These services include, but are not limited to:

  • Authentication, database, and file storage (for example, Supabase)
  • Email delivery (for example, Brevo)
  • Website hosting and infrastructure
  • Payment processing (when you donate through linked third-party platforms)

A third-party vendor’s collection and use of personal information is governed by the policies of that vendor, in addition to our agreements with them.

We may also share information:

  • When required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request
  • To protect the rights, safety, and security of MWC, our users, or others
  • In connection with a merger, reorganization, or transfer of organizational assets (with notice where required by law)

We do not share personal information with third parties for their independent marketing purposes.

7. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Cookies are small text files placed on your computer or device. The Site may also use local storage and similar technologies to:

  • Keep you signed in to your account
  • Remember preferences
  • Support basic Site functionality and security

Most browsers allow you to accept or deny cookies. If you deny cookies, you may still use much of the Site, but certain features (such as staying signed in) may not work properly.

Analytics. At this time, the Site does not use third-party analytics services such as Google Analytics. If we add analytics tools in the future, we will update this Policy to describe them.

8. Do Not Track

“Do Not Track” is a privacy preference that users can set in certain web browsers. When enabled, the browser may send signals requesting that websites not track the user. The Site does not currently recognize or respond to Do Not Track signals or similar mechanisms.

9. Children Under 13 and Their Parents

MWC is committed to providing a safe online experience for families. Consistent with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (COPPA), we do not knowingly request personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13 without prior verifiable parental consent.

The Site is not intended or designed to attract children under 13. By using the Site, you represent that you are at least 13 years of age.

If you are under 13 and would like to access any area of the Site that requires your information, please have your parent or guardian contact us at info@pazwellness.org with verifiable identity, giving us permission to allow you to use those features. To respect the privacy of parents, information collected and used solely to obtain verifiable parental consent or provide notice is not maintained in retrievable form if parental consent is not obtained after a reasonable time.

If we have not received parental consent for a user who states or is found to be under 13, we cannot, by law, provide certain information to or respond to certain requests from that user in the same manner as for adults. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13 without parental consent, we will delete that information.

Parents can request to review personal information collected from their child, ask that information about their child be deleted, or revoke consent by contacting us. We must verify the identity of the requesting parent. When a parent revokes consent, we will stop collecting and using information from that child as required by law.

10. Your Utah Privacy Rights

If you are a resident of Utah, you may have certain rights related to the personal information we collect from you, including:

  • Access: You may request a copy of the personal information we have collected about you by contacting us.
  • Disclosure: You may request that we provide you with a list of the categories of third parties with whom we have shared your personal information.
  • Delete: You may request that we remove your personal information from our systems by contacting us, although in some cases we may refuse your request in accordance with applicable law.

To exercise these rights, contact us using the information in Section 19. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.

11. International Users and GDPR Rights

The Site is operated from the United States. If you are located outside the United States, you should be aware that the laws of the United States may be deemed to have different data protection standards than your country. If you voluntarily submit personal information through the Site from outside the United States, you consent to the use of that information as described in this Policy and to the transfer, storage, and processing of that information in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate.

If we have collected data from you in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or other jurisdictions with comprehensive privacy laws, you may have additional rights under applicable law, including:

  • Access: Request a copy of your personal information
  • Correct: Request that we update or correct inaccurate information
  • Delete: Request removal of your personal information, subject to legal exceptions
  • Restrict: Request that we restrict certain processing
  • Object: Object to certain processing of your personal information
  • Withdraw consent: Where we rely on consent, withdraw it at any time
  • Complain: Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

To exercise these rights, contact us using the information in Section 19.

12. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Site, fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

If you unsubscribe from our email list, we will stop sending marketing emails to that address. Your records may remain in our databases in deactivated or suppressed form so we can honor your opt-out request and comply with law, unless you request deletion and we are able to accommodate that request under applicable law.

Account information is retained until you request account deletion or we no longer need it to operate the Site, subject to reasonable backup and legal retention requirements.

13. Security

We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information submitted to us against loss, misuse, and unauthorized alteration. Security measures may include, but are not limited to, encryption in transit (such as TLS/SSL), access controls, and internal policies to maintain the security of stored data.

However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100 percent secure. While we strive to use commercially reasonable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. If your communication is very sensitive, consider contacting us by phone or mail instead of electronically.

14. Links to Third-Party Websites

The Site contains links to other websites that are owned or operated by third parties (for example, donation platforms, social media, or mapped directions). In some cases, the Site may include embedded tools or widgets provided by third parties.

MWC is not able to protect your privacy once you leave the Site. When you visit other websites, review each site’s privacy policy and be careful about the information you submit or share.

15. Your Choices

Depending on your location and the nature of your relationship with us, you may have the right to:

  • Access personal information we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your account or certain data
  • Opt out of marketing emails at any time
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
  • Review or update how we use your personal information

Unsubscribe from email. If you do not want to receive marketing email from us in the future, click the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of an email you have received or visit our Unsubscribe page.

Review or update your information. If you wish to review or update the personal information we have on file for you, or if you no longer wish for MWC to use your personal information in certain ways, please contact us using the information in Section 19. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling your request.

16. Use of Information

MWC reserves the right, and you authorize us, to use and assign information regarding Site use by you and information provided by you in any manner consistent with this Policy and our Terms & Conditions.

17. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be posted on this page. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy.

18. Related Policies

Your use of the Site is also governed by our Terms & Conditions. Additional content disclaimers and author guidelines may apply to specific materials on the Site.
